Maarch Newsletter: January 2024

Dear Clients, Dear Colleagues, Dear Partners…

On behalf of the entire Maarch team, I am delighted to extend my best wishes for the year ahead: I hope it brings out the best in all of you — success in your projects, joy, and good health in your daily lives!

2023 was a particularly eventful year — a turning point, even — for the Maarch user community, with several major milestones I would like to highlight:

• Prestigious organizations — including the Ministries of Agriculture and Culture — joined our community, as did numerous local authorities of all sizes, across mainland France and the overseas territories.
• A new, more robust and higher-performing SaaS infrastructure was launched thanks to the outstanding work of Arnaud PAUGET’s teams (Head of the Infrastructure unit).
• Our new product, Maarch Digital Flow, was launched and had already reached its first thousand users just a few months after release.
• And the talented teams from Document Image Solution joined us to form an innovation and research hub in the southwest of France.

These achievements are yours too, and today I want to thank you for them once again.

They open up a new horizon for our company and our community, one that I wanted to place under the sign of innovation and closer collaboration.

Innovation, with major projects on the horizon in which our products will meet their future, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.

Closer collaboration, because I wanted our teams to reach out to you even more, to build our shared future together. Setting up a cross-organizational working group to shape version 24 of Maarch Courrier is one example. The January 31 webinar is another, and throughout this year, in our new offices, we will multiply the opportunities to meet and exchange with you.

2024 promises to be an exciting year: I am happy to start it with you! Happy New Year!

New version of Maarch Courrier

This January is marked by the release of an incremental version 2301.3.0 of Maarch Courrier. As a reminder for those who get lost in version numbering:

• 2301: Year/month of the major version release
• .3: Minor version including functional enhancements
• .0: Patch on the major/minor version (always 0 at release)

This 2301.3 version, following on from version 2301.2 released in December, notably brings the integration of DIS Mercure Automatic Document Reading (LAD) technologies — acquired earlier this year — directly into the Maarch Courrier software. The software can now natively recognize, during PDF mail indexing, the subject, the drafting date, and the sender: a valuable time saver for teams handling correspondence.

This version also includes a number of new features that enhance the ergonomics and interoperability of our solution, such as document preview when sending emails, or a brand-new Pastell connector to iParapheur.

This version will be available on the SaaS from Thursday, January 25. A presentation webinar is being held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 10:30 AM (sign up at the end of the newsletter)!

Update to our SaaS infrastructure

As part of continuous integration, the Maarch Courrier 2301.3.0 version upgrade will roll out overnight on Thursday, January 25. Choosing Maarch SaaS means benefiting from a 100% French infrastructure and maximum security:

• 4 data centers located on French soil, hosting our private physical servers
• 2 active/passive data centers 15km apart in the Paris region
• 1 backup data center in the North of France
• 1 SecNumCloud-certified data center in the Paris region
• A team of 12 people at Xelians for server infrastructure, and 10 on the Maarch side for the application layers
• 2 CISOs
• More than €400k is invested annually in security: scans, penetration testing, SOC, certifications, traditional antivirus and EDR, and a bug bounty program.
• 10 servers per site, for a combined power of 140 GB of RAM and 32 CPUs
• HDS and ISO 27001 certification

…all of this to currently serve 22,000 users and host nearly 1,200,000 pieces of mail?

Successful project!

First installed independently by the in-house IT teams, then strengthened through training before moving to the Maarch Courrier SaaS in 2023, the Maarch Courrier solution enabled the Saint-Cyr-l’École town hall to carry out a project for the complete digitization of its document chain, from scanning incoming mail to signing and sending outgoing mail. Events

Notary Congress recap

Maarch and Xelians Digital were present at the Notary Congress in Deauville, with a dedicated Maarch Digital Flow integration.

We demonstrated our automatic reading of notarial deeds, whether natively digital or digitized, with no human intervention, a PDF compression method that reduces image size by a factor of 4 while improving readability, as well as enhanced AI-based search features in conversational mode.

Although still exploratory, these advances offer a glimpse of the capabilities of tomorrow’s Maarch software.
